Wikafi to the rescue of Dalcq’s websites
The partnership between digital agency Wikafi and the Dalcq group began in late 2020. The goal was clear: stabilise and modernise the Belgian appliance specialist’s online stores and website. Wikafi looks back at this multifaceted collaboration.
Wikafi is no newcomer. The full-service digital agency traces its roots to the 2015 takeover of IT company Systemat’s web department by Jean-François Sillen, Joseph Thirionet and Olivier Noel de Burlin.
With expertise in web development, e-commerce, design, hosting and full-service digital communication, the company quickly established a strong reputation, working with respected names including bpost, Securitas, Euresa, Safran Group and SPIE. “We are a full-service agency that places particular emphasis on the availability of our teams and long-term partnerships. We have clients we have worked with for 15 years on projects that keep evolving,” explains Jean-François Sillen, the company’s co-founder.
Operation “eShop rescue”
When Dalcq approached Wikafi in late 2020, the request was specific: analyse, stabilise and thoroughly review its e-commerce platforms. Ageing and full of inconsistencies, they were experiencing significant instability. “Word of mouth and our strong client references played an important role in bringing us together,” the agency’s co-founder acknowledges.
“We had to take over the entire development process, including www.frifri.be and www.frifri-shop.fr, which had been built by a third-party provider. The work covered hosting, domain management, HTTPS certificates, statistical reports and maintenance, through to a complete redesign of the platforms.”
The recovery operation was a success. The Belgian appliance brand’s online stores improved their overall performance, and the agency became Dalcq’s principal web partner.
“Alongside better performance and clear growth in online sales, the technical support staff no longer have to deal with the countless complaints caused by technical problems across the different platforms,” sums up Olivier Noel de Burlin.
Proud to work with a leading Belgian brand!
“Our collaboration began in October 2020 with the redesign of the group website, www.dalcq.com. Once we had fixed the bugs and stabilised the architecture, we continued during 2021 with the development of two more brand platforms using WordPress and WooCommerce for the online store components: www.dejelin.be and www.mill-norvege.fr,” explains the Wikafi agency manager.
The latest project at the time of publication was the completion and launch in early May of www.theblender.be, a platform selling premium kitchen appliances, with an improved user experience.
The experience and expertise of Wikafi’s specialists made the difference. “We are proud to work with a wholly Belgian brand that has trusted us to redesign and manage its web platforms,” says the team.
