At your service since 2013
Wikafi is a story of friendship, complicity and trust. Friends and IT professionals who, at the dawn of the Internet, were already involved in the creation of websites. Jean-François Sillen and Joseph Thirionet work at Systemat, a leading IT solutions company in Belgium (since acquired by Spie).
They developed solid expertise in website development and IT project management. But above all, they became friends. And when the opportunity arose to take over the web department of Systemat and continue doing what they love, but on their own, they went for it. Wikafi was born, we were in 2013.
Oliver Noël de Burlin is a web development expert for the bpost group. A long-time friend of Jean-François, he decided to join the team in 2015.

The three friends form a very complementary trio to ensure all the dimensions of a growing SME. Always at the forefront of website creation and mobile application development solutions, all three put their expertise at the service of their clients. Medium and large companies that are starting from a blank page to launch a website or that want to review their website. In order to offer complete and tailor-made sites, a graphic designer, copywriter and server administrator also contribute their skills and added value to the clients’ projects.
Most of them have been there since the beginning. Real partnerships are created between Wikafi’s developers and their clients. They appreciate the way we listen to their needs, the agility of the team, the quality of the deliverables and the relationship of trust that has been built up over the years.
Some achievements

Wikafi has supported Energy Charter for many years with its web presence and communication tools. We developed the long-standing TYPO3 platforms following requirements analysis and detailed specifications.
These websites provide institutional and document-based content, together with member features supporting information sharing and the organisation of network activities.
Our support also covers hosting, domain names, certificates and mailing solutions. The future development of these platforms is considered with the client according to its needs, the content to retain and technical constraints.

Wikafi created the Council of European Dentists website by combining WordPress and custom development. The platform brings together CED policy statements, publications and news while addressing the needs of its membership network.
The content structure distinguishes policy statements and resolutions, press releases, association news and documentary resources. Visitors can identify the type of publication they need and access the available documents, including different language versions where provided.
A members’ login complements the public website. This arrangement combines institutional communication for an open audience with a dedicated entry point for the association’s network.
A platform tailored to the association’s requirements
Custom development adapts the platform to CED’s way of working, its specialised content and the relationship between the public website and the members’ area. This personalisation covers both the information structure and the journeys that help different audiences find their resources.
This project applies our experience with European organisations: analysing specific requirements, structuring publications and developing the WordPress adaptations needed to support the association’s work.

Our long-standing collaboration with Safran has involved the development of many specialised business applications, workflows and collaborative tools adapted to its operations and internal processes.
Approval workflows involve the relevant departments, including warehouse, quality and accounting, at stages defined with the teams. Integration with the corporate directory supports task assignment, while Windows-session sign-in simplifies access.
We have also supported the evolution of its intranets, from an initial TYPO3 platform to a WordPress version. This experience brings together business analysis, interface design, custom development and ongoing support for users.

Wikafi supports the Council of European Bars and Law Societies (CCBE) in developing its web presence and digital tools. Following an initial TYPO3 platform, we developed its website using WordPress, with extensive custom development.
The project brings together a multilingual public website and a members’ area. Its structure reflects the institution’s requirements: publishing and finding documents, accessing network information and preparing CCBE activities.
Custom-developed business tools
Custom features include filtered document search, the organisation of resources and their access permissions, and a members’ directory. Information about delegations and committees follows the same approach to structured data.
The event registration journey was also adapted to include participation options, guests and date-based pricing rules, with WooCommerce integration. These features translate CCBE’s operating rules into tools for its teams and members.
Our support combines requirements analysis, content migration, design, development and technical maintenance. This project shows how we customise WordPress to create a working platform tailored to a European organisation.

Wikafi supports Euresa, a European network of mutual and cooperative insurers, in the development of its public website and member services. The platform has evolved from an initial TYPO3 version to a WordPress website.
The members’ area provides access to documents and news, meeting and event registration, and features adapted to collaboration within the network. Our work also includes custom developments for appointment scheduling, mobile applications and newsletter distribution.
We provide technical support across the platform, including hosting, domain names, certificates and communication tools according to the project’s needs.

Wikafi supports Chemviron’s web presence with a WordPress website presenting a specialised industrial offering. The project organises content around applications, products and services so visitors can approach the range through their sector and requirements.
The sections cover water, air and gas treatment as well as a variety of industrial processes. Solution pages bring together product and service information with technical content and resources for further exploration.
The website’s multilingual structure serves stakeholders across several markets. Corporate content, service pages and contact points complement the information on applications and products.
This project demonstrates our ability to work with technical content: clarifying its organisation, respecting industry terminology and providing a presentation suited to an international industrial business.

Wikafi designed the Dejelin online store using WordPress and WooCommerce. The project presents the small-appliance ranges and organises the information customers need to select and purchase products.
The design reflects the brand identity and the purchasing journey is adapted to different screen sizes. Editorial content, including recipes and advice, complements the catalogue.
Our support also covers hosting, domain names, certificates and technical website maintenance.

Wikafi has developed custom web solutions for bpost to support communication requirements and specific processes, including complex online forms, calculators, landing pages and collaborative tools.
Workflows designed for internal departments structure the stages, clarify responsibilities and support approval tracking. These projects combine an understanding of user needs with development and integration into the client’s environment.
Our work also includes consent and cookie management using OneTrust, alongside technical support for the solutions developed.

For the Ommegang, Wikafi developed a web presence combining the show’s visual identity with useful visitor information. The WordPress website presents the event’s history, the show, the festivities and the personalities taking part.
We organised the content around the main stages of a visitor’s journey: discovering the event, exploring the programme, finding practical information and reaching the booking service. Photography and video play an important role in conveying the atmosphere of the Ommegang and the richness of its costumes and traditions.
Content in several languages serves Belgian and international audiences. Ticketing links direct visitors to the show’s booking platform. Media, press and contact sections provide additional entry points for the organisation’s different audiences.
This project reflects our approach to cultural and event websites: showcasing a distinctive identity while keeping a clear path from discovering the programme to finding the information needed to attend.

For the municipality of Bernissart, Wikafi created a WordPress portal focused on access to local information. Administrative content and everyday topics share a navigation structure organised around administration, tourism, culture, the economy, sport and practical information.
Direct links to service hours, documents, contacts and public notices help visitors reach useful resources from the homepage. News and the events calendar give recent information and activities a visible place on the website.
The site also brings together information about local services and organisations, including a business directory. Its content structure accommodates long-term information, such as departmental contact details, alongside regularly updated publications.
This project puts our WordPress experience to work for a local authority: organising a substantial amount of information and providing entry points that reflect the different needs of citizens.
